BEA Union Investment is a specialist Asian Equity and Fixed Income manager.

We are based in Hong Kong, employ investment professionals with deep local experience and are well connected across the regional investment community.

In addition, BEA Union Investment receives integral support on global macroeconomic and asset allocation strategies from our joint venture shareholder, Germany’s Union Investment.



Equities

BEA Union Investment’s Equity team employs an active investment strategy using bottom-up fundamental analysis for both stock selection and portfolio construction. A proprietary quantitative screening process will also be used for idea generation and risk management.

Fixed Income

BEA Union Investment’s Fixed Income team combines top-down macro analysis for country, currency and duration, with a bottom-up analysis of sectors, industries and credit risk. In addition, the team employs a proprietary credit research model for bonds not rated by international credit agencies.

Multi-Asset

Using the strengths of its Equity and Fixed Income teams, BEA Union Investment also offers a range of multi-asset products. Asset allocation decisions are set in collaboration with Union Investment’s Investment Committee based on a range of regional and global macroeconomic factors.

Our view of the macroeconomic environment is expressed through the RoRo Meter, a proprietary framework developed by Union Investment which incorporates “risk on, risk off” factors such as absolute and relative asset prices, inflation expectations, central bank action and geopolitical risk.
